Willy really captures the feeling of growing up in FNQ. I loved voicing Tully in the proof of concept for this new animated series! @samleightondore and @weplayludo are taking the project to Annecy Animation Festival in France next week in hope of finding it a home. About two and a half months ago @thekatedolanshow and I decided we should do a podcast together, why? Because we live across the road from each other and it would be easy. So this podcast @becomingbestfriendspod is us getting to know each other and forcing ourselves to be best friends out of sheer proximity (doesn’t hurt I quite like her).

Last night I got to go to the Logies, so crazy to be nominated for a Logie! As a kid I wanted to be a landscape architect so I never thought I’d be doing this. I met bluey, got taught how to pose (always listening, always learning), and when I got home this morning I found I’d been sent a cake (which was a lovely breakfast) from my beautiful friends @clairelovering and @yasminjkassim. Also a big thanks to @annekwiatkowski__stylist for bringing this together and teaching me how to pose(pic 3)❤️

In a crazy turn of events I’ve been nominated for a Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a comedy, for Gold Diggers.

I know it’s sappy but I’d really love to thank someone very special to me. @clairelovering was cast as my big sister and lead in the show. I’d done a day of acting here and there on things before I was cast as Marigold in Gold Diggers, but to suddenly be doing a lead role where I was in almost every scene was a lot of pressure and I had no idea if I was doing a good job or not because everyone always says ‘you’re doing great’. Claire and I became so close so fast and I don’t know how I would have done it if I didn’t have someone who was so completely generous to work with. We would spend all day on set together, then go home and learn the next days lines together. She never got annoyed with me asking basic acting questions or telling everyone on set she was off to do a ten two (film lingo for poo) every time she went to do a ten one (wee). It’s been well over a year since we wrapped and we don’t need to see each other all the time, but we do. I just really love her and it feels weird for me to post a photo of me and not her.

My dog King struggles to hold onto hard treats while he chews them, so I hold them for him while he chews. Sometimes I want to do things with my hands though so I’ll hold the treats with my feet. Just now he bought over one of his treats and started trying to push it into my foot to hold it. Being a mum is a beautiful gift, seeing them grow, learn and become their own gross little disgusting creature is a joy. I’m genuinely worried I’m going to get carpel tunnel in my foot.
